Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I chose a medical career because of my interest in science -- particularly biology and life science -- and the opportunity to combine this with the privilege of healing. I chose pediatrics specifically since the children are so much fun to work with. It's particularly rewarding to follow the children's growth and development over time.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I enjoy outdoor activities.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, occasional skiing. I also play drums. I used to play rugby but just help with some coaching now. I do some community work with a food pantry. I am involved with our church-related dramatic society so have gotten to do some amateur acting.
