Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
Complexity of biological processes and challenges of finding "cure " for diseases always interested me. Unlimited survival of cancer cells and limited survival of normal cells fascinated me. I believe, as a part of society, we (physicians and other clinicians) all have a lot to benefit and a lot to give back to society. Transferring knowledge of biologic science, disease states, and treatment options into social and individual context, as well as trying to help the best way I can, feels very fulfilling. Continued new research and new treatment options only increase my interest in medicine.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I believe in honesty, transparency and truthfulness. As it happens most often, when presented with multiple options, I believe in keeping all the options open and choose based on pros and cons.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I'm developing a software program to create a cancer treatment database.
