Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I always had an interest in nursing and how remarkable the human body is, and, although my career led me to the pre-hospital arena, becoming an CRNP was my career goal. I pursued an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification because I enjoy working with adults who are critically ill.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I have several philosophies as a radiology nurse practitioner. Firstly, we all have busy lives and schedules, so I do try to keep my scheduled procedures on time. Secondly, I believe strongly in education for my patients and their family. I practice evidence-based medicine as directed by the American College of Radiology.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I spend my time exercising and enjoying quality time with my family and Great Danes. My family and I enjoy going to basketball and football games.
