Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
It sounds cliche, but honestly, I chose medicine to help patients and make a difference. I was once treated by an orthopedic PA when I suffered an ACL tear in 2005 playing collegiate baseball. He laid the foundation for my interest in becoming a PA. My career took many turns along the way, but ultimately, I ended up in the right place. I continue to strive to make a difference in patients' orthopedic well-being.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
It typically depends on the time of year. Most days, I'm spending every moment with my family. I work hard so I like to play hard too. In the summertime, I'm definitely outside more often then not. Come fall, you can find me in a tree stand, bow in hand or in the woods.
