Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
My undergraduate major was in Biochemistry. I initially thought that I would get an advanced degree and pursue nutrition research, but I realized after working in a hospital one summer how much I enjoyed interacting with and caring directly for patients. I decided to become a physician assistant so my daily work would have direct impact on others.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I love interacting with people and care about our relationship. It is important to me that my patients feel comfortable talking to me about any concerns they may have. I hope to be a trusted resource through all stages of life.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I am not seeing patients I am caring for my family which includes my husband and three young children.
