Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
When I was in high school, I thought I was either going to be a teacher or a nurse. I started as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in long-term care facilities and decided nursing was really where I could make a difference. I am still able to teach on a daily basis by choosing this career, and I feel very fortunate that I chose this path.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I am in this profession so that I can make a difference in my patients' lives. I genuinely care, and I want you to have the best experience possible. I will listen to you and tailor a treatment plan based on your needs as a patient. I strive to make sure that I am providing care to my patients that I would hope to receive from my own care providers.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family—my husband, and two children. We love to travel and be outdoors. I also love to cook and watch any Pittsburgh sports.
