Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I'd always wanted to become a doctor, as I was inspired by the first woman doctor, Elizabeth Blackwell. Financially it was not an option when I was younger, but after a career in the sciences, I went back to school to become an RN, and then to graduate school to become a CRNP.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I primarily work with the geriatric population. I enjoy this age group as they have been through a lot in life, and they deserve good care and someone to listen to their concerns.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I'm not seeing patients I enjoy the simple things in life, such as cooking and dining out. I have traveled extensively and enjoy experiencing different foods and cultures. I have four dogs that keep me tethered closer to home these days!
