Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I felt I could make a difference in helping patients with their multiple medical problems.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I will try to help patients as best I can. If they have more complicated problems that require referral to specialists, then I will try to do what I can to direct them to the proper specialists. If they are not satisfied with that specialist, then I will continue to work with them to find a specialist that can help them. I will also try to keep them up-to-date on all the available immunizations and guidelines that are available for patients. The challenge we face is to deliver that care particularly with insurances, their preauthorizations, and high deductibles that many patients have.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy spending time with family. I enjoy the outdoors whether it be hiking, hunting, fishing or kayaking. I also do ballroom dancing. More recently I have started to travel more with my family to visit our national parks.
