Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I was a wife and mother of four before starting nursing school. Nursing seemed a great fit for me because I wanted to help people, loved challenges (I had experienced both as an active duty AF member and military wife), and also to be an example of success to my children. After becoming an RN, I
pursued my Nurse Practitioner education and licensing. As a nurse practitioner I really enjoy the provider patient and provider family relationships. Also as a nurse practitioner I value the opportunities to play a key role in nursing leadership, education, and support in the nursing home setting.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I am honored to be a part of their pursuit of better health and quality of life through patient-centered, shared decision making, personalized care. I have worked in acute care settings, clinic settings and nursing homes. I have delivered care in geriatric settings for over ten years because serving geriatric
patients are my passion. I have specialized in this care and have attended many conferences so that I can continue to become the best provider for you.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy having my house ready to receive my children and grandchildren on weekends. They live out of state and I love making memories with them when they visit.
