Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
There is a quote in medicine that says the aim is, "To cure sometimes, to relieve often, and to comfort always." For me, this saying describes what it means to be a physician. I consider it a privilege to be allowed into a patient's life and given a chance to heal him or her. In the process of caring for a patient, there is also the opportunity to reduce pain and relieve suffering. It is these shared goals and the rewarding relationship between doctor and patient that drew me to medicine.
What I want my patients to know about me:
My aim is to understand your story and your symptoms and find the right treatment plan for you. Sometimes, treatment of the problem or disease my involve surgery and sometimes it may involve medications or non-surgical treatments. We will go over everything together and my goal is to give clear explanations and discuss all the options with you.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, camping, traveling, and experiencing new places and cultures.
