Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I chose medicine because I love science, and I love helping people. I find the challenge of continual learning to be enjoyable, and I like the fact that no two days are ever the same.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I guess if there was one thing I'd like my patients to know about me it is that the relationship we develop is very special to me. Being allowed into your life is an honor; I love knowing your personal and health stories over the years, seeing your families grow, and walking with you through life's joys and struggles.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I am actually a taxi driver for my two children and their varied interests and activities. In my free time I enjoy being a physician, gardening, and swimming. I also love doing projects, although I've learned that when I start seeing rolled eyes and hearing groans from my family I should slow down the pace of ideas. Travelling is another very enjoyable past-time for my family. We enjoy seeing new places and experiencing new cultures. My favorite trip was visiting Italy a few years ago.
