Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
Medicine always appealed to me since I was a young child. During the heart transplant of my little cousin, I saw how medicine cannot only save a life but save a whole family. I wanted to be a pediatrician for as long as I can remember, but during medical school, I realized I wanted to see not only the kiddos but also their moms, dads and grandparents, too. I decided on family medicine as my specialty so I could be a well-rounded physician for any patient who may walk through the door.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I like to work with the patient as a team to get him or her feeling better as quickly as we can.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I love to read, and I am usually reading a new book every week. I also like to travel as much as time and money permits. And weirdly, I love to plan. I love to plan out vacations with itineraries and guided tours.
