Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
When I was growing up, my parents instilled values of compassion and servitude toward others. My interest in science, and desire to serve and learn, helped me choose medicine. I am the first physician in my family, so it was uncharted territory for us. I wanted a career that was meaningful, and enriching for myself and my community.
What I want my patients to know about me:
My job is to make your visit to the doctor's office a smooth and comfortable experience. I understand the medical field can be daunting, as I have navigated the system as a patient as well, so I would like to break those barriers. It is my privilege to be at the forefront of a patient's medical care. As an osteopathic physician, my approach is whole person: mind, body, and soul. I enjoy taking care of a patient and their family members from birth until end of life. My philosophy is to educate patients about their health, and to make them the best advocates for themselves.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
Family and faith are important for me. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two sons. We also visit parents in my hometown in New Jersey every chance we get. On my days off, I like to do kickboxing and look for nutritious recipes. I enjoy reading, learning about self development, spirituality and doing arts and crafts.
