Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I've had an interest in healthcare since my teen years & was always inspired by St. Teresa of Calcutta. During my high school years, I volunteered at a nursing home and obtained my EMT certification for my senior project. After high school, I entered the nursing program at York College and worked as a nursing assistant during summer breaks. After graduation, I worked for 7 years as an RN in the ER, Med-Surg, Home Health & Urgent Care. I began my MSN program at PSU in 2014 and spent a month in Ghana, West Africa as part of a clinical rotation. I completed my Nurse Practitioner degree in 2016.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I am committed to helping my patients and their families learn as much as they can about their health concerns so that they are able to make decisions that allow them to live life to the fullest.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I'm involved in several Young Adult Catholic ministries, mostly in the Harrisburg area and I try to attend mass daily. I love spending time with my fiance, family and friends. I'm always up for a new adventure and love to travel locally and abroad. I would love to do missionary work overseas with my soon-to-be husband.
