Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I've always had a strong interest in science, personal interaction, community, and service. Medicine, particularly nursing, seemed to be the natural direction to bridge these things. An interest in reproductive and women's health has led to my being a WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner). I am happy to have found a place in medicine where I am challenged and constantly learning.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I genuinely enjoy the conversations we have together and working with you. I believe in patient-centered care and that you are to be included in the process.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
The predictable things in life such as spending time with family, enjoying art and music (recommendations for Broadway productions are invited), taking photos, reading, and typical errands. Despite living in Pennsylvania for quite some time now, I often make my way back home to Maryland. I have a newer-found interest in gardening when the weather is accommodating. I also have found myself following soccer (by default of sorts), but really enjoy it.
