Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I remember wanting to pursue a career in medicine starting in high school. I chose a career in cardiology because I was fascinated with the physiology of the heart during my medical school training. I ultimately chose to pursue interventional cardiology because of the acuity of the practice and the ability to be able to help someone at their time of greatest need. The ability to form a trusting bond between a physician and a patient is why I continue to enjoy coming to work everyday.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I was born and raised locally and still have many family ties to the area. I am married with two children, and we recently adopted a "new" dog. I am very excited to be raising a family in the same county I was raised in.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids and helping with their extracurricular activities. We enjoy traveling and especially going to the beach as often as we can. I also enjoy playing golf as much as possible and am an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams.
