Taking care of your heart is one of the most important things you can do to live a long and healthy life. Blood thinners offer protection from the development of a blood clot and protects against heart attack and stroke. These medications are often used if you live with a clotting disorder, have undergone heart valve surgery or other complicated surgical procedures, or if you have an irregular heart rhythm called atrial fibrillation.
WellSpan’s Medication Management Program works closely with you and your primary care provider to coordinate your blood thinner medication plan. Through our program, we provide a seamless approach to medication management and help you improve the quality of your life.
