People experiencing long-term COVID-19 symptoms can access specialists and resources through WellSpan COVID Care.

Many patients who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 continue to experience persistent symptoms and conditions caused by the virus for weeks and months following their initial illness. People with long COVID have reported experiencing the following health issues:

Tiredness or fatigue
Difficulty thinking or concentrating (sometimes referred to as “brain fog”)
Headache
Loss of smell or taste
Dizziness on standing
Fast-beating or pounding heart (also known as heart palpitations)

Chest pain
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
Cough
Joint or muscle pain
Depression or anxiety
Symptoms that get worse after physical or mental activities

Using a virtual care model, WellSpan COVID Care provides standardized and comprehensive care to meet the current and future needs of the region’s growing post-acute COVID population.

Patients will be scheduled for a one-hour initial visit to screen, assess, treat, and provide referrals and resources. Most initial visits will be virtual, but some patients may require an in-person visit depending on symptoms. For video visits, patients need to be in the state of Pennsylvania during their appointment.
