Sports Physicals

Pre-participation physicals are important for making sure an athlete is healthy for athletic competition.  A complete physical includes assessment of the athlete's overall health, review of the musculoskeletal system and injury risk evaluation.
There are a variety of ways athletes can have get their sports physicals:

  1. Schedule an appointment with your primary care provider.
  2. WellSpan walk-in care locations offer sports physicals with no appointment necessary.
  3. Onsite: WellSpan Sports Medicine providers will come to your group/team/club's location to conduct physicals at a pre-determined time and date.

A pre-participation physical does not replace a regular wellness visit by a primary care provider.  Regular exams are important to ensure immunizations are current and to manage the individual's overall health.
