WellSpan in York County

WellSpan Health has built a 135-year legacy of providing high-quality, community-based care to the residents of York County.

WellSpan traces its roots back to the founding of York Hospital in 1880. In the years since, York Hospital grew to become the York Health System, which eventually joined with The Gettysburg Hospital in 1998 to become WellSpan Health.

We remain firmly rooted in York County with nearly two dozen primary care offices, seven walk-in urgent care locations, and dozens of specialty care and ambulatory service locations. In addition, two of WellSpan’s five hospitals are located right here in York County.

We’re proud to be part of the region’s largest, most comprehensive health system. And together, we’re working to make your health care even stronger.

So take a look around, and let's get WellAcquainted.

Partnering to Build a Better York County

Every day across York County, the people of WellSpan work together to support our non-profit mission of service—one patient, one town, one unique health care need at a time. To that end, we know that building healthy communities doesn’t stop at providing excellent clinical care at one of our facilities. We recognize that a deeper commitment is required to transform communities through partnerships and grassroots participation in the issues that matter most to our neighbors.

Please take a moment to explore some of the community initiatives WellSpan is undertaking, as well as ways you might partner with WellSpan to help us improve the health and quality of life for you and your neighbors:
