Breathe Easy with Expert Pulmonary

Our expert pulmonologists work as your partner in addressing your specific pulmonary needs. Our specialists offer patients sophisticated care for the most complex lung, respiratory and sleep conditions. Although every case is different, our goal remains the same, to help you and your loved ones breathe easier.

Our hospital services are focused on using advanced medical technology to help patients in the least invasive way possible. Focusing on safer performance we are experts at utilizing bedside ultrasounds to assist in performing tracheotomies, tube insertions and ventilator use. Whether you have asthma, are managing COPD, chronic bronchitis or another lung disease we provide both inpatient and outpatient services that partner with you through education and treatment.

Philips has issued a voluntary recall on certain CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilators.

Conditions Treated

We treat a wide range of pulmonary conditions including, but not limited to:

How We Can Help

Our experts offer care in a compassionate environment, respectful of your needs. We provide inpatient pulmonary consultations and critical care management at our hospitals. We focus on minimally invasive procedures when possible. Treatment in pulmonary & sleep medicine may include the following:

Airway Dilation

Insertion and inflation of a small balloon which stretches the stenosis. This inflation is only for a short time and helps reform the blocked airway passage.

Bronchoscopy

Allows the physician to examine the inside of the lungs by using a small light and camera. This small tube is inserted through the mouth or nose. A bronchoscopy can be helpful in diagnosing respiratory issues.

Cardiopulmonary Stress Tests

A noninvasive stress test that measures how well the heart, lungs and muscles are working individually and in unison.

Pulmonary Function Tests

Measures how well the lungs are working. Pulmonary function tests are typically done using one or both of the following methods; spirometry (a mouthpiece device) and plethysmography (an air-tight box).

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

A patient specific program geared towards helping with daily tasks. Every rehabilitation program is different and created to meet the goals of the patient. Pulmonary rehabilitation is used to help patients with COPD or other chronic respiratory problems.

Airway stents

Used to splint narrowed airways opened which can be a result of several health issues. Typically placed in the trachea or bronchi they reinforce the respiratory system lining.

Chest tubes

These thin plastic tubes are used for many different purposes including draining a lung of fluid, delivering medication, or inflating a collapsed lung. The use of chest tubes depends on the patient, needs and health issues.

Transtracheal Oxygen Catheters

A small tube that is inserted into the trachea and delivers oxygen directly into the respiratory system by bypassing the nose and throat. Oxygen catheters can help reduce the symptoms of breathlessness and improve patient mobility.

Percutaneous Tracheostomy (PDT)

An alternative to a surgical tracheostomy, PDT can be done bedside and is less invasive than traditional methods. PDT only requires a small incision and is available for select patients.

Ventilator Management

Expert care is giving for those on ventilator as we manage the flow, oxygenation, and ventilation. Management includes the monitoring of vitals and accompany tests as seen fit in the patient care plan.

Bronchial Thermoplasty

Bronchial Thermoplasty reduces severe asthma attacks by reducing airway smooth muscle. With less smooth muscle, the airways constrict less, reducing severe asthma attacks and making breathing easier. The outpatient procedure is performed in three sessions using a bronchoscope.
