The WellSpan Palliative & Supportive Care program is designed to help relieve the pain and stress of seriously ill patients. Our family-focused program delivers care with compassion, respect and dignity so we can improve your comfort and quality of life. Palliative Care can be provided at any time during a person’s illness.

Our team provides care for anyone with a chronic or advanced disease - regardless of life expectancy. The staff includes health care providers, care coordinators, social workers and a spiritual coordinator.

The COVID-19 vaccine can cause some temporary inflammation of lymph nodes, which may show up on your mammogram.

These nodes could result in an unnecessary (false positive) finding. For that reason, we recommend you avoid having your screening mammogram any time from 1 day prior to your first vaccination to 4 weeks past your second vaccination.
