Visiting Hours

Visiting hours are not restricted; however, after 8 p.m., all visitors entering the building are asked to use the Emergency Department Entrance for entry and departure.  After 10:00 p.m., Security will issue visitor badges at this location.

Medical/Surgical

  • Open visitation

Acute Rehabilitation Unit

  • Visiting hours are from noon to 1 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Progressive Care Unit

  • Open to all visitors and support persons. Limit two visitors at a time.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

  • Open to all visitors and support persons. Limit two visitors at a time.

Family Maternity Unit

  • Fathers, support persons, siblings, and grandparents have open visitation. Other family members and friends may visit at the discretion of the parent(s).

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

  • Because your baby needs specialized care, strict visitation guidelines must be followed:
    • The unit is locked at all times.
    • Parent(s) and grandparents may visit at any time, with some exceptions.
    • Immunized siblings over age four are welcome to visit from noon to 8 p.m. (visits limited to 15 minutes).
    • Visitors over age 14 may visit from noon to 8 p.m. with a parent in attendance.

Pediatrics

  • Parent(s), support persons, and legal guardians may visit at anytime. Other family members and friends may visit at the discretion of the parent(s). During flu season and other illness outbreaks, Pediatric Unit visitation restrictions will be posted.

Behavioral Health Services

  • Visiting hours are Monday-Friday, 6 to 7 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 1 to 2 p.m. & 6 to 7 p.m.  Restrictions based on therapy needed for patient care.

If traveling NORTH from LANCASTER/YORK

  1. Follow Rt. 222N to Rt. 322W.
  2. Turn left at the exit ramp to 322W.
  3. Follow 322W (Main Street) through the town of Ephrata approximately 2 1/4 miles.
  4. Turn right at the intersection of Main Street and Martin Avenue.
  5. Follow Martin Avenue to the parking entrance located on the right.

If traveling SOUTH from READING/ALLENTOWN

  1. Follow Rt. 222S to Rt. 322W.
  2. Turn right at the exit ramp to 322W.
  3. Follow 322W (Main Street) through the town of Ephrata approximately 2 1/4 miles.
  4. Turn right at the intersection of Main Street and Martin Avenue.
  5. Follow Martin Avenue to the parking entrance located on the right.

If traveling EAST from LEBANON/HERSHEY/HARRISBURG

  1. Follow Rt. 322E to Ephrata.
  2. Rt. 322 becomes Main Street in Ephrata.
  3. Turn left at the intersection of Main Street and Martin Avenue.
  4. Follow Martin Avenue to the parking entrance located on the right.

If traveling WEST  from EXTON/DOWNINGTON/PHILADELPHIA

  1. Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 286-Reading.
  2. Exit the Turnpike and turn left onto Rt. 222 South.
  3. Follow Rt. 222 S to Rt. 322W.
  4. Turn right at the exit ramp to 322W.
  5. Follow 322W (Main Street) through the town of Ephrata approximately 2 1/4 miles.
  6. Turn right at the intersection of Main Street and Martin Avenue.
  7. Follow Martin Avenue to the parking entrance located on the right.

Parking Options

 ECH Map 2010-1

  • Visitor Parking is available in Green Lot #1. This lot is located outside of the Hospital's Main Entrance and can be accessed from Ephrata Avenue.
  • Emergency and Outpatient Parking is available in Red Lot #2. This lot is located outside of the Emergency & Outpatient Entrance and can be accessed from Rt. 272. 
  • Day Surgery Parking is available in Blue Lot #3. This lot is located outside of the Day Surgery Entrance and can be accessed from Rt. 272 or Martin Avenue.
  • Ephrata Health Pavilion Parking is available in Yellow Lot #4. This lot is located across from the Ephrata Health Pavilion Entrance and can be accessed from Martin Avenue.
  • Valet Parking is offered Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Emergency/Outpatient Entrance and from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ephrata Health Pavilion Entrance.  Patients and visitors are encouraged to drive their vehicles to the entrance and a valet attendant will park their car. When you are ready to leave, the attendant will retrieve your vehicle. Attendants are easily identified by their blue shirts. They also wear Hospital ID tags.
