WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital’s Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs have been certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). This certification recognizes our commitment to improving the quality of life for patients by enhancing standards of care in these rehabilitation programs.
The Ephrata Cancer Center at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital is accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC), facilitated by the American College of Surgeons. During the accreditation process the hospital demonstrated compliance with standards which focus on center leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement.
WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital was certified with a three-year accreditation from DNV-GL in 2018. The hospital is certified for both heart failure and primary stroke.

Meeting specific quality standards has provided the hospital with the opportunity to become a Blue Distinction Center+ for Maternity Care and Knee and Hip Replacement. WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital is also a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care.
During the 2017 Well Workplace Awards WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital received a Platinum Well Workplace Award from the LiveWell Lancaster County Coalition, the Lancaster County Business Group on Health and the Lighten Up Lancaster County Coalition.
The American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) awarded WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital with Pathway to Excellence status. Similar to ANCC's Magnet Program, Pathway to Excellence is designed for smaller hospitals and focuses on the importance of a positive professional environment for nurses and its impact on the quality of care provided to patients.
