It may be fall, but WellSpan Health’s Sports Medicine team is ready to play ball with The Baseball Warehouse, now that the health system has signed an agreement to provide healthcare and sports medicine services to the organization’s athletes.
“The WellSpan Sports Medicine team has been keeping athletes across South Central Pennsylvania in top shape and we are excited to extend this exceptional care to The Baseball Warehouse’s youth athletes,” said Dr. John Deitch, medical director of WellSpan’s sports medicine program. “Using our team’s experience and expertise in baseball, we are fully committed to helping the players excel on the field and in life.”
WellSpan Sports Medicine will collaborate with The Baseball Warehouse to offer education on injury prevention, the benefits of arm care, sports specialization, nutrition and behavioral health. Strength and conditioning services will also be offered to the athletes.
“We are excited to partner with WellSpan Health to pair the highest level of sports medicine healthcare with the best baseball instruction from our professional staff and former players, including Major League Baseball players and Hall of Famers,” says Matt Morris, owner of The Baseball Warehouse.
The Baseball Warehouse is located at 201 S. Charles Street in Red Lion. Their professional staff consists of minor and major league baseball players and coaches that specialize in private baseball instruction, coaching clinics, camps and college placement. Hundreds of youth athletes from ages 6 to 18 and professional baseball players train at The Baseball Warehouse, working on improving their skills to play baseball in their home schools and professional organizations.
