Continuing the tradition of being a trusted partner in our communities, WellSpan Health is proud to be honored in multiple categories in the local “Best of the Best Awards 2021” in both the York area and in Franklin County. Community members make their choice by voting for standout organizations and individuals in their respective communities. These two awards are run by the local Gannett news outlets of the York Daily Record and Chambersburg Public Opinion and partner LOCALiQ.
The Best of the Best Awards give community members the chance to spotlight the people and business in their community that deserve recognition for their efforts over the past year.
WellSpan Health earned both winner and finalist honors in numerous healthcare categories, including winning best hospital in both regions -- WellSpan York Hospital and WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
The organization also took honors in several categories related to top employers, such as best work benefits, most innovative workplace, company culture, employee recognition, and leadership. Individual WellSpan team members were also honored in several categories such as general practice doctor, pediatrician and OBGYN. The full listing can be found below.
The York Daily Record and Chambersburg Public Opinion will honor the award-winning individuals and organizations with a special section in both their printed newspaper and their websites.
Lebanon Daily News and the Hanover Evening Sun also conducted surveys for their respective regions. That voting is also complete and results will be shared later this summer.
