WellSpan Health, Lebanon Valley Family Medicine and local officials cut the ribbon at the newly expanded WellSpan Health Center in North Londonderry Township.
WellSpan Health has expanded and renovated its services at the WellSpan Health Center in North Londonderry Township, by adding new specialty physician practices, new imaging services and expanded rehabilitation services.
The center, at 1400 South Forge Road, offers lab, imaging and rehabilitation services. It also offers cardiac testing, including EKGs and echocardiograms. The building is home to Lebanon Valley Family Medicine.
“This health center provides area residents access to primary care through our practice, but also to a variety of specialty, rehabilitation, lab and diagnostic services,” said Dr. John P. Welch, a physician at Lebanon Valley Family Medicine and chairman of the WellSpan Good Samaritan Board of Directors. “Having all these services under one roof offers convenience for patients and it exemplifies WellSpan’s mission of working to build healthier communities."
With the expansion, the WellSpan Health Center now houses offices for WellSpan Cardiology and for WellSpan Orthopedics, so patients can seek specialty care services in addition to primary care services.
Imaging services also have been expanded, with the addition of 3D mammography, a 64-slice CT scanner, a bone density scanner and vascular capability to ultrasound services. The rehab gym has been enlarged and private treatment rooms have been added to that area.
More services will be added, including a mobile MRI unit that will begin operating this fall.
“This is all part of our goal to deliver exceptional care and support a healthier Lebanon County,” said Tom Harlow, senior vice president of WellSpan Health and president of WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. “Through this health center, we are working with our colleagues at Lebanon Valley Family Medicine to offer high quality services close to where our patients live and work.”
