Women in Adams County now have access to a unique service specializing in their midlife medical needs.
Following a successful opening in York, WellSpan Midlife Health & Wellness has expanded to the Adams Health Center – 40 V-Twin Dr., Suite 204, Gettysburg.
The new practice offers services for women who are experiencing menopausal or perimenopausal changes. The practice shares space with WellSpan Internal Medicine - V-Twin Drive.
“We are excited to expand this service to the women of Adams County,” said Megan Lecas, vice president of women and children services at WellSpan Health. “This practice provides such important specialty care for women at such a crucial time in their lives through excellent, compassionate care.”
At the practice, Melanie Ochalski, M.D., offers comprehensive services for female patients. These consultations and treatments include using traditional hormonal therapies and natural alternatives for conditions such as perimenopause and early menopause, as well as midlife health screenings and ovarian aging assessments.
The practice also specializes in services for patients experiencing sexual dysfunction and early menopause due to cancer treatments, a hysterectomy and other medical conditions.
Ochalski received her medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
She performed a residency and a fellowship with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is a North American Menopause Society (NAMS) certified physician.
In January, the practice premiered in York County, opening on the Apple Hill Health Campus in the WellSpan Women's Center at 35 Monument Road, Suite 204, York.
