Fresh produce, vegetable garden tours, and live music are returning to downtown Lebanon on Mondays, via Monday’s Market.

The program will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Mondays, through Aug. 30, at the YMCA Train Depot behind the Lebanon Valley YMCA, 201 N. Seventh St., Lebanon.

Monday's Market is a collaboration between WellSpan Health and Lebanon Valley Family YMCA.

The market offers fresh produce ranging from apricots to zucchini, with offerings that vary as the summer progresses. Shoppers can obtain a variety of fruits and vegetables so they can prepare healthy meals or snacks.

“Our goal is to help improve the health of local residents, by offering them fresh foods and the education on how to prepare them and even grow them,” said Melanie Wells, WellSpan community wellness coordinator. “The market is a fun place to visit with friends and neighbors. Come, taste and celebrate summer!”

The market also features fresh guacamole and salsa, handmade soap, organic skin care products, books, art, and other products.

Visitors can visit the community garden at the YMCA. Penn State Extension Master Gardeners will offer tours and answer vegetable gardening questions.

Produce may be purchased with WIC cards (available to eligible pregnant women, mothers and caregivers of infants and young children) and senior farmers market checks (available to seniors on a fixed income).
