WellSpan is celebrating the Year of the Nurse and Midwife
throughout 2020. Designated by the World
Health Organization, this year was designated in honor of the 200th
Birthday of Florence Nightingale, who is commonly known as the founder of
modern, compassionate nursing.
Kris O’Shea, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing
Executive for WellSpan Health, understands the importance that this compassion
brings to our community.
“I am so proud of the nurses because I think that they
really go extra steps to get to know their patient and to do what’s right for
their patient,” said O’Shea.
We look forward to celebrating the hard work of nurses
all year long at the following hospitals and affiliates: WellSpan Chambersburg
Hospital, WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital,
WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, WellSpan Philhaven, WellSpan Surgery &
Rehabilitation Hospital, WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital, WellSpan York Hospital
and the WellSpan Medical Group.

inspirational stories of the nurses from these locations throughout the year.
