Imaging Appointments

Below is important information for patients about scheduling and pre-registration in both York and Adams counties. When calling to schedule your imaging exam, please have the following information available for the scheduler:

  • Physician's written order
  • Full name and date of birth of the patient
  • Insurance information
  • Type of imaging exam needed and the reason for the exam
  • Location of the office to which the results should be sent
  • Pertinent medical history and allergies to medication
  • Valid telephone number
  • Ordering physician's name
  • Height and/or weight may be required for some procedures

A note about insurance coverage: Please contact your insurance company prior to your WellSpan Imaging appointment to determine whether all costs for your test or procedure will be covered by your plan. There may be a portion of the bill you will be asked to pay. If that is the case and you need help making financial arrangements, please call WellSpan Imaging Customer Service at (717) 851-2102 or (717) 842-1782.

The scheduler will schedule your exam for the next available date. If you need to have your exam done on a specific date and/or at a specific location, please advise the scheduler. When a suitable time and date for the exam has been agreed upon, the scheduler will confirm the date, time and location of the exam as well as the ordering physician and ask if you would care to pre-register for your exam. Please note that the total time spent on the telephone scheduling your exam will depend on the type and number of exams you are scheduling.

A parent or legal guardian will need to sign consent forms for exams performed on patients under the age of 18.


Once you've confirmed the appointment for your test, your next step is to register.  For your convenience, we offer several ways to register:

Just log in to your MyWellSpan account and select the Appointments tab, then "Upcoming Appointments".  Click on your upcoming visit and select "eCheck-in".

This search will provide you with WellSpan Medical Group and Northern Lancaster County (Ephrata) Medical Group primary care physicians and specialists. If we don’t have a WellSpan Medical Group physician to meet your criteria, the search will expand to include community physicians who partner with WellSpan Medical Group physicians through the WellSpan Provider Network or provide care to patients on the Medical Staffs of WellSpan’s Hospitals.

If you are not enrolled in MyWellSpan, go to, call 1-866-638-1842 or speak with a member of the staff at a participating facility to sign up. If you already have a relationship with a WellSpan practice, simply log into your account, and go to the Appointment Center section. As you progress through the scheduling process, you will be able to schedule an appointment with any provider or practice that already counts you as a patient. Online scheduling varies by practice/program.
