Description:

Are you looking into taking the steps to sobriety? Are you finding it hard to implement skills to reduce substance use in your daily life? Have previous treatments not worked well in helping you to achieve sobriety? Relapse Prevention is a group that will help you in achieving these goals. Our group facilitators are licensed professionals who have years of experience when it comes to helping with those who suffer with a substance use disorder. Relapse Prevention is a safe, judgement-free zone, that provides clients the skills to maintain sobriety as well as the peer support needed to stay on track with their sobriety. Relapse Prevention is a 90-minute group that will provide information on how to maintain sobriety through the use of healthy coping skills and relapse prevention techniques. Group will teach members how to build their support system which consists of sober members. Relapse justifications will be questioned in group and challenged. Group will help members maintain their sobriety by identifying relapse warning signs. Recognizing and identifying defense mechanisms will be addressed as well as how to identify these mechanisms that could lead to denial. Group sessions will focus on:

  • Maintaining sobriety
  • Building a sober support system
  • Implementing relapse prevention skills
  • Challenging relapse justifications
  • Identifying relapse warning signs.
