Postponement of Non-Urgent Procedures and Surgeries at WellSpan Health

WellSpan Health is committed to delivering the safest, highest-quality care to our communities in south central Pennsylvania.

During the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we are continually working to balance the healthcare needs of our patients with avoidance of exposure to the virus.

Our expert surgeons and staff are assessing the clinical need and urgency of all procedures and surgeries scheduled between March 23 and May 1, 2020. Based on this assessment, some surgeries and procedures will be postponed.

Priority is being given to hospitalized patients requiring surgery and patients scheduled for surgery with urgent clinical needs.

Delaying some procedures is intended to protect the health and safety of our patients, staff and visitors, and prevent further spread.

Only impacted patients, whose procedures and surgeries are being postponed, will be contacted.

We will continue to take appropriate measures to maintain a safe, healing environment at all of our care locations while remaining prepared to provide emergency care.
