Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I have always been inquisitive, thorough and a fan of science...and I love kids! Medicine affords me the unique chance to practice science and at the same time make a tangible impact in the lives of children and families. I relish the responsibility, the pressure, the need to continually learn new things and the privilege of being an advocate for the kids in my practice. I especially enjoy the first few years of childhood and helping new parents navigate what has become such a difficult time in this new age of information overload. The family unit is the most important unit in our society.
What I want my patients to know about me:
When you decided to choose me as your pediatrician, you added a new member to your family, and as family looks after their own, my pledge to you is to be there with you and for you not only when your child is ill, but anytime you need me. My approach to taking care of children is by asking myself how I would treat my own child. Pediatrics affords the opportunity for a joint agreement between parents, children and myself to make each other better, to listen to each other, and to come up with the best decision tailored for each patient.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I am a HUGE football (soccer) enthusiast! I spend a lot of my time either playing or watching sports. My wife and I travel quite a bit, and experiencing new cultures and countries is always a breath of fresh air. I like yoga, chocolates, music and catching up on all my shows!
