Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I enjoy serving humanity and giving back to our community. I love learning about the sciences and applying this knowledge to provide excellent patient care. What was appealing about choosing a career as a family physician? A family physician is there with you every step of the way in your life journey, sharing in your joys and triumphs, heartaches, and providing hope and comfort during difficult times. I am passionate about keeping patients healthy through the promotion of preventive care, immunizations and a healthy lifestyle (i.e., exercise, nutrition, yoga, meditation, tai chi).
What I want my patients to know about me:
I am dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care encompassing a broad spectrum of services, including adolescent, adult and geriatric care; health and wellness; immunizations; pediatrics; and women's health care. It is important to me that I communicate with patients effectively, work together to design a personalized action plan, establish long-range health goals and provide patient education. I like to partner with patients to help them cultivate and achieve a holistic lifestyle balance with a goal of total well-being in mind, body and spirit.
I have successfully conducted integrative well-being programs with WellSpan’s cardiac rehab patients and newly diagnosed cancer patients. I am honored to serve as current chair of WellSpan’s York Cancer Committee. In 2022, I achieved board certification in Lifestyle Medicine!
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy meditation, traveling, tennis, pool, table tennis, running 5Ks, going to the gym, movies and Toastmasters, a world-wide prestigious leadership & communications organization. In 2021, I achieved my DTM - Distinguished Toastmaster certification. Proud to say I'm originally from Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love, and am a passionate Philadelphia sports fan!
