Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
At a young age, I knew that I wanted to be involved in the healthcare field. My mom and aunts were nurses and I loved the idea of providing care to others. As a multi-sport athlete in high school and a Division I soccer player, I was originally drawn to physical therapy and was pursing my doctorate in this field in college. However, I started working at my mom's hospital and the physicians there amazed me with their vast knowledge, compassion and dedication to their patients. I knew that was my calling and switched to biology/pre-med my junior year of college and the rest is history!
What I want my patients to know about me:
That I am here for you with open arms and open ears. I take my patients' health very seriously and will work with you very closely to help you achieve your health goals and keep your preventative health up to date. Medicine is an ever changing landscape and I think every patient deserves to have the right "fit" of a physician to help them navigate. I love getting to know my patients on a personal level and love the concept of Family Medicine, where I get to be the physician for generations of a single family. I strive my best to provide quality evidence-based care. I have a particular interests in Women's Health and Pediatrics.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
Family is everything to me. I have two beautiful young toddlers who keep me quite busy and always on my toes! I spend as much time with them and my husband, who is also a Family Medicine Physician, as possible. My hobbies include running, weight training, hiking, soccer, being outdoors. I love to travel, visit family on Long Island and in Western Pennsylvania, and be at the beach!
