Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I decided to pursue a career in nursing at a very young age. I come from a large family and three of my older sisters are nurses. I listened to their stories about taking care of patients growing up and this led me to become a nurse and eventually, a nurse practitioner.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I strive to be a good listener and a caring and compassionate health care provider. I enjoy getting to know my patients as people and working with them to achieve their health care goals. My greatest joy is the privilege of caring for the children of those I treated in my practice when they were young.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When I am not at work, I am usually busy with all types of farm activities. We raise steer and there is never a shortage of work to do outside! I enjoy spending time with my husband, three college-age children and dogs.
