Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
Besides the fact that it is the coolest job in the world, medicine is a profession in which one can be honest and truthful to our "clients" without secondary gain or intention. There needs to be no guile, deception or manipulation. When I sit across from a patient, all I have to think about is how to make his or her health interest my sole responsibility and do my best to take care of him or her. I love that singular purpose!
What I want my patients to know about me:
Yes, I do speak fluent English.
This job in Ephrata is my first and only position since residency 16 years ago, and I love it.
I cannot dance to save my life.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I pretend I am Josh Groban or Colm Wilkinson and sing my heart out at home.
I love fishing and boating.
I would eventually like to go hunting one day and become a true outdoorsman.
