Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I've always been drawn to medicine. I began my career in the medical field working in the laboratory. I graduated from a two-year hospital-based lab program and then graduated from a local community college as a medical lab technician. Later, I completed a biochemistry degree and medical technician (MT) certification at Elizabethtown College. I was working at the college level as an academic advisor and part-time MT in WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital's lab when I decided to pursue a career as a physician assistant. I enjoy working as a team and taking care for people of all ages.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I'm totally committed to them and have their best interests in mind. I am committed to life-long learning both inside and outside the classroom.
I am open to any recommendations they want to discuss and will evaluate for best patient outcomes.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
If I am not a work, I am usually with family, friends, or involved in church activities. I have a supportive husband who helps me coordinate daily living. He is a great cook. He is retired, so I am very fortunate to have a supportive partner. I am an avid sports fan, and my family and I frequently attend sporting events together. I love gardening and yard work. We plant a small garden every year and a flower bed.
