Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

From a fairly early age, I felt a calling to combine my science skills with a desire to help others. Growing up, I had a strong role model in my own family doctor. I wanted to be like him--hard working , building trusting relationships with my patients--so I could make a positive difference in their lives.

What I want my patients to know about me:

Many things we do to get or stay healthy involve change, and change is hard. My patients can be assured I will be their partner in helping them make the changes they want. I never give up on my patients, and I try to be a good listener.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I work a lot and have many leadership responsibilities at WellSpan that take a lot of my time when I am not seeing patients. I am the physician champion for our WellSpan efforts to both bring behavioral health resources into our medical offices and to help support those with addiction. When I do get a chance to get away from work, I enjoy biking, hiking and spending time with my family.
