Spine Care

Preventing and providing relief for back, neck and body pain and spinal disorders is one of our specialties. Given the complexity of neck and back care, our program offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to care.

Encompassing six disciplines across WellSpan—Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Physiatry, Interventional Pain Management, Rehabilitation and Complementary Medicine—WellSpan Spine Care brings together the expertise of highly-trained physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists and specialists to fully address and treat every aspect of your neck and back needs.

Orthopedic surgery, or orthopedics, specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of injuries and diseases to the body's musculoskeletal system, including most bone and joint disorders.

Physiatry Service Icons

Dealing with a disease or injury that impairs normal daily functioning, physiatry restores musculoskeletal function and relieves spinal pain, such as arthritis, tendinitis or sports-related injuries. Treatments can be vastly broad, including non-surgical treatment approaches and interventional methods.

Interventional Pain Management

When conventional medical treatments like medications or physical therapy don't reduce neck or back pain, interventional pain management specialists can alternatively provide diagnostic treatment of chronic pain on a convenient individual, outpatient basis.

Rehab Service Icons

Achieving functional independence is at the core of rehabilitation services. Through inpatient or outpatient help, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language therapists and athletic trainers strive to return patients to their pre-injury lifestyle.

Cmbh Service Icons

Complementary Medicine

Any form of non-conventional therapy, used in combination with standard or conventional medicine, to treat spinal conditions. Alternatives include acupuncture, massage and/or supplements, which help relieve symptoms and improve patient's quality of life.
