Facing Cancer Together

FCT Ribbon W TextWellSpan and WITF Public Media, along with two other regional health systems, joined forces in 2011 to bring in-depth information and educational resources about cancer to the people of central Pennsylvania.

Facing Cancer Together is an interactive, community education partnership. It is a research-based project with the goals of improving knowledge and changing behaviors about cancer.

Facing Cancer Together launched in April 2011 with original productions for television, radio and print plus interactive web resources (including a Digital Quilt), to inspire and guide honest conversations about the many aspects of cancer for patients, caregivers and survivors.

This approach-both personal and community-based-gives central Pennsylvania residents the tools needed to face cancer, together.
