Forensic Psychological Testing
As part of WellSpan's forensic service, providers perform psychological assessments that include psychological assessment and testing. The psychological assessments are part of a comprehensive evaluation performed by the forensic psychiatrists of the unit. The psychological assessments provide critical information on the client's intelligence, personality and symptomatology. The assessments; therefore, not only provide data to address the legal issues at hand such as competency, but can also lead to diagnostic and treatment considerations.
Luis Rivera-Tovar, PhD earned his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987. He has a special interest in cognitive psychology, personality assessment, cross cultural psychotherapy, sex therapy, and marital/relationship issues.
Dr. Rivera has worked with community agencies, hospitals, schools, business organizations and state/federal government on issues relating to the assessment, evaluation, and delivery of mental health services.
