Disruptive Behavior Disorders
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Group Program
Children with ADHD often have symptoms that can interfere with the development of satisfying social relationships, peer acceptance and positive self-esteem. This group, composed of children ages 4-18 years, meets once a week for 12 weeks. Using role-play and family participation, the psychologist works with the child and family to initiate interactions and joining activities, communicate effectively, solve social problems and control anger.
Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) Group Treatment Program
ODD is a behavioral disorder that usually presents itself at a young age. It impairs the normal peaceful development of both the child and the family. In this group, composed of parents and their children, the child plays an active role in their parents' learning of new management skills. The eight-week program consists of weekly sessions that build upon one another.
