Home Infusion Services

WellSpan's Infusion Service, together with a patient's physician and nursing agency, provides compounded sterile products and related medical supplies to patients receiving home intravenous therapy. Clinical pharmacists monitor patients' therapies in conjunction with their other health care providers.

How We Can Help

WellSpan Infusion Service is not a nursing service, but works cooperatively with local nursing agencies and provides the following therapies:

• Enteral and Parental Nutrition
• Hydration Therapy
• Chemotherapy
• Antibiotics
• Pain Management
• Port and Catheter Maintenance Supplies 
• Other Therapies (IVIG, Steroids, etc.) 

Convenience Meets Compassion at WellSpan Infusion Service

A locally-based group, WellSpan Infusion Service is focused on the community it serves. Pharmacists and staff combine clinical experience with personalized service to provide patients with high quality, compassionate care. WellSpan Infusion Service does this by offering services such as same-day delivery as initial referral and more, including:

• Daily Delivery Service
  Drugs, solutions and supplies are delivered by WellSpan Infusion Service staff direct to the patient's home.
  
  
• Experienced and Personalized In-Home IV Therapy Services
  The WellSpan Infusion Service has provided home IV services since the opening of the Apple Hill store in March 1988. The service gained Joint Commission Accreditation in 1997. WellSpan Infusion Service works closely with other health care providers to provide high quality patient care. Our staff provides patient care by calling on a regular basis, reviewing all medications the patient is taking, checking results and coordinating care with physician and nursing agencies.
  
  
• 24-Hour Service
  WellSpan Infusion Service is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. With WellSpan Infusion Service, a pharmacist is available 24 hours a day either by calling (717) 851-5891 or by cellular phone (717) 495-3333.
