Treatments may be given intravenously, or in some cases, in pill form. Cancer treatment is carefully managed to reduce the intensity of side effects and allow it to be better tolerated by the patient.

Radiation Oncology

Sechler Linear Accelerator

Certified laser-guided radiation therapy is provided through our state-of-the-art linear accelerator unit. This system can treat superficial skin cancers and larger, deeper cancers. Other types of treatment available in radiation oncology include brachytherapy (radioactive source) and some radioactive injections. Before treatment begins, a customized treatment plan is created for each patient. This plan is created by a team of individuals focused on shielding and protecting critical structures while maximizing dose to the treatment area. Treatment is managed by professionals who are available whenever you have a question or concern.
