At WellSpan Pediatric Neurology, our staff strives to meet your health care needs. Our Neurologists and staff will be partners in your care and treatment.

Treatment Programs

Children with neurological disorders often need treatment that is different than what adults need. Our pediatric neurology team provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and outpatient management of neurologic disorders for children under the age of 16. We can help with a variety of neurologic disorders including:

  • Epilepsy
  • Concussion
  • Movement disorders
  • Headaches/migraine
  • Neuromuscular disease
  • Developmental assessment and evaluation
  • Neurometabolic/neurodegenerative disorders
Appointments and Hours

Appointments are scheduled by calling (717) 851-5503 or (800) 864-4016. A physician referral is required. We ask that your physician mail copies of your medical records to our office in order to perform a complete evaluation.

Prescriptions

Prescription refills should be phoned directly to our refill line, (717) 851-5503. Please provide 24 hours notice for routine medications and 48 hours for controlled substances. Check with the pharmacy before picking up the medications to ensure that your prescription is ready for pick up.

Our phone is answered 24 hours a day. In the event of an emergency after normal business hours, the physician on call will be paged to return your call.

Insurance and Fees

WellSpan Pediatric Neurology has established a fee schedule, which we are willing to discuss with you at any time.

If you are a member of a participating insurance plan, be prepared to pay any co-pay amount at the time of service. If you are a member of a non-participating plan, you are responsible for paying at the time of service. Any reimbursement due should be sent directly to you by your insurance company. We will submit claims to all insurers and health plans - whether or not we are a participating provider with that insurer or plan.

If you are associated with an HMO, the appropriate authorization must be received from your primary care physician before the time of your appointment. Otherwise, your insurer may not cover the provided services.

Partners in Your Health Care

Our staff strives to ensure that your health care needs are met, your appointments are on time and that you and your physician are partners in your health care. To help us serve you, please:

  • Give us 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment so we can use that time for another patient.

Bring all of your medications with you to each visit so we can verify them and provide you with appropriate refills. After your evaluation, a detailed report will be mailed to the referring physician. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
