At WellSpan Endocrinology, our staff strives to meet your health care needs. Our physicians and staff will be partners in your care and treatment.  Dr. Friedman and Christine Hendell, MSN, CRNP are practitioners for pediatric endocrinology.

Our Services

The WellSpan Endocrinology team specializes in helping people with hormonal disorders; growth and pubertal disorders; diabetes, dysmetabolic syndrome; osteoporosis; menstrual disorders; hypogonadism (low testosterone levels); polycystic ovarian syndrome; and thyroid, adrenal, parathyroid, pituitary and lipid disorders.    

Services include a complete medical evaluation, insulin pump management and nutritional counseling.  Together with your primary care physician, we hope to maintain your healthy lifestyle.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling (717) 851-6231. 

Prescriptions

Requests for prescription refills should be made directly to our refill line at (717) 851-6231, option 2.  We suggest 48-72 hours notice; however, most prescription requests that are received by 2 p.m. will be filled that day.

Our phone is answered 24 hours a day in case of an emergency.  Call (717) 851-6231.

Insurance and Fees

WellSpan Endocrinology has established a fee schedule that we are willing to discuss with you at any time. You are responsible for paying all fees, including co-payments, at the time of your office visit.

We participate in many health plans, including SOUTH CENTRAL Preferred, HealthAmerica, Keystone, Highmark Blue Shield, and many others. Please call our office if you would like to find out if we participate in your plan.

We participate in Medicare; however, we will bill you for any balance remaining after Medicare payment.

Other insurance companies may allow you to have them send payment directly to our office. If so, we encourage you to use this option.
