Your Gift May Generate Unseen Smiles

Healthiest Kids

There are an estimated 1,200 children in Adams County with no medical insurance. The Children's Health Fund was established in 1999 to meet the health needs of uninsured and underprivileged children and families in our community. Over the past years, many important programs and projects have been supported by gifts to the Children's Health Fund.
Your gift will help to further enhance the health of a child who may otherwise not be able to afford it.

For more information on the Children's Health Fund or any of the programs listed below, call Gettysburg Hospital Foundation at (717) 337-4175.

Dental Clinic

The dental clinic provides free basic dental care, such as cleanings and x-rays, as well as education on proper dental hygiene to underserved children in the community. The clinic is located at Adams County Head Start.

HealthConnect

WellSpan Health's mobile health clinic provides free healthcare services in Adams County every week, including preventative health, including childhood immunizations and flu vaccinations; treatment for short-term illnesses (such as respiratory infections and earaches) and minor injuries (such as cuts or sprains); women's health; and more. HealthConnect staff also links uninsured families to programs such as CHIP or Medicaid.

Prescription for Caring Fund

The Prescription for Caring Fund provides free or discounted medicines to children and families who do not have insurance or are experiencing financial hardship.

Young Driver's Safety Program

The Young Driver's Safety Program was created as a collaborative community effort to address the high incidence of teen crashes and fatalities in Adams County through education and awareness.
