Overview

Neurosurgery is a branch of medicine concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system. The nervous system is composed of the brain, spinal cord and spinal column, as well as the nerves that travel through all parts of the body (hands, legs, arms, face).

Services

WellSpan Neurosurgery strives to provide the highest quality of comprehensive, state-of-the-art neurosurgical care to patients of all ages. We deliver all aspects of pediatric and adult neurosurgical care, including microsurgery and advanced spine surgery. Depending on the nature of the illness or injury, we may recommend surgical or non-surgical care.

Appointments, Referrals and Office Hours

Appointments are scheduled by calling (717) 747-9911.

On your initial visit, please bring the following:

  • Completed forms
  • Pertinent records, including past operative notes
  • Insurance cards
  • Referral form, if required by your insurance company
  • X-rays, MRI or CT films (The neurosurgeons need to review the actual films; if your diagnostic tests were performed at a non-WellSpan facility, it is very important to hand carry these films to our office at the time of your appointment.
Insurance and Fees

WellSpan Neurosurgery has established a fee schedule that we will be willing to discuss with you at any time. You are responsible for paying all fees, including co-payments, at the time of your office visit. We participate in many health plans. Please call our office if you would like to find out if we participate in your plan.
